Play All Day

We were blessed with a beautiful and unseasonably warm day today! We knew it was in the forecast and being so tired of winter we were ready for it! Of course the house needed cleaning and we had a few other things to do but we set it all aside and spent the entire day outside! Rick had to help some friends move but Gabi and I hit the park. We weren't the only ones enjoying the weather. The park was packed! Gabi made some new friends and played for over 2 hours. When we got home we had lunch and then headed out to help Rick feed the animals and then we took a long walk through the woods. It is so fun to explore with Gabi! It wasn't just a walk through the woods but rather a grand adventure. She marvels at everything. She loves the creek that runs along the back of our 70 acres. She was fascinated with how the creek was frozen in more heavily wooded areas where the sun couldn't reach it and warm the water. She kept saying over and over as we walked along how beautiful and peaceful it was. Her favorite find on our hike was a little bird's nest that we found on the ground. It was such a perfect day we were sad to see it come to an end! I hope spring comes soon!
