Well, we've had quite the weekend and not one we expected. Rick and I were headed out the door for an appointment when the phone rang. I ignored it but then my cell immediately started ringing and it was Gabi's school. Apparently there was an outbreak of lice in her class and three students (including Gabi) had lice. There were two cases in another classroom as well. Both Rick and I had never had to deal with lice before so it was a whole new experience and one I hope I NEVER have to repeat! We picked Gabi up and headed to WalMart. We picked up the kit, came home and treated her and I with the shampoo! These things are so small! I then spent hours not only picking through every inch of her hair to remove the nits but the remainder of Friday and Saturday washing everything and vacuuming. We then used the mayo and shower cap that night to smother any we may have missed. We also invested in Tea Tree Oil and have added that to all of our shampoo and conditioner bottles and will continue to do so! They say it is a natural deterrent for those little pests. Overkill? Maybe but just the thought of having these things makes my skin crawl! We are seriously debating whether or not it is even worth going back to summer school tomorrow. Gabi was so excited to attend summer school this year and has been loving the Super Science Class but if we have to go through a repeat performance of this weekend it isn't worth it! So needless to say today's R and R was much needed! We finally got a chance to relax and enjoy the new pool! We are going to love this pool!

YUCK, I had lice one time too and it was AWFUL. I hope I never have to deal with my children having it.

EWWW!! I got lice when i was in 2nd or 3rd grade. And yes i totally know what you mean! Not overkill!! And those pictures are absolutely fab!!! Enjoy your new pool!
