Yesterday was my first weigh in and I was shocked to see a 2 lb loss! Why? Well, to be honest I started off with the best of intentions but by the weekend I started snacking endlessly! I spent a lot of time out in our pool and all that "swimming" (more like laying around in the floaties) makes a girl hungry! LOL! I'll take the 2 lbs and hope to keep the scale going in that direction! Being that it is summer it has been easier to eat healthier. Our garden is full of big, green tomatoes just waiting to be ripened in the hot summer sun. I love all the fresh produce available this time of year and I grilled quite a few dinners out on the gas grill this week. Summer also means ice cream though which is my husband's weakness, not mine! But it doesn't help that he stopped at McDonald's and bought me a Mocha Frappe yesterday and hit Dairy Queen earlier in the week!
So this week I've decided it is time to start exercising more regularly. Like my eating it has been pretty hit or miss. I've always wanted to do the Couch to 5K program but like many things in my life I lose the motivation after a few short weeks! This morning while on Facebook I saw a layout posted on one of my scrapbook sites I follow. It detailed a race that scrapper had recently finished and her journaling had me intrigued. So I Googled it! It was the Wasatch Back Relay. It sounds like an amazing experience. I would love to do something like this! But again I am the most unathletic person and extremely out of shape! However, it is a year away and having a goal like this would motivate me to stick with training. So today's the day! I already have the awesome Couch to 5K Podcasts downloaded from a previous endeavor so I'm ready to go. I will start my Couch to 5K this evening on the treadmill. I'll keep you posted!

Wooooow! I'll admit, I stopped reading about the relay around the 3 to 8 mile point, but it still sounds like a GREAT goal and so worthwhile!
Personally, I find it easiest to fall off the healthy wagon on the weekends. I also notice that I can only fight it if I choose to continue writing down what I eat on those days.
oh oh oh!!! Best of luck friend!! You can totally do it!!! You can tell you have the motivation for it! And loosing only 2 pounds is better than gaining a WHOLE 2 pounds ;o)
You go girl!!! You can do whatever you aim for! I'll root you on the whole way!
Congrats on the loss! You can do it!
