The Memory Keeper

Yes, as I get older I am finding my memory does not serve me well! Take for example last week as I was heading out the door the phone rang. I ran and got it and knew from the pause on the other end it was going to be just another annoying telemarketer. But even in my hurry something made me stay on the line and I was surprised to hear a recording letting me know that we had movies that were overdue at Family Video. Now I really had to rack my brain. We rarely rent DVDs and I could not recall what or when we had last rented them. I opened the entertainment center and sure enough there were 2 DVDs I had rented several weeks earlier laying there. These were two movies I had been anxious to see but I guess with our busy schedules we didn't get to them and forget we even had them! Fast forward to this week and on Friday I received a phone call from my brother letting me know that he was in town! Yes, he had called earlier that week or the week before to let me know that he was planning on coming in town for the day since he had the weeekend off. Once again this little conversation totally slipped my mind! So just like everything else I have also completely forgotten to update my blog! I really am going to try to be a better blogger next month because as you can see this blog is my memory keeper!
